Participation, Assumption of Risk & Liability
Participation in LA Explained walking tours and experiences involves physical activity and may include extended walking, hills, stairs, uneven sidewalks or terrain, street crossings, traffic, weather conditions, and other risks inherent to exploring Los Angeles on foot.
By participating in an LA Explained tour or experience, guests acknowledge and voluntarily accept these inherent risks and agree to follow reasonable instructions provided by LA Explained guides and staff. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, participants assume responsibility for the ordinary risks associated with participation and release LA Explained, together with its owners, employees, contractors, representatives, and guides, from liability for injury, loss, or damage arising from those ordinary and inherent risks. While extremely unlikely, these risks may result in property damage, bodily injury, serious injury, permanent disability, or death.
Each participant is responsible for determining whether they are physically capable of safely participating in the tour they have booked and agrees to exercise reasonable care, remain aware of their surroundings, and follow reasonable instructions provided by LA Explained guides and staff.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, each participant releases, waives, and discharges LA Explained and its owners, officers, employees, contractors, representatives, guides, affiliates, and agents from claims, demands, damages, losses, liabilities, or causes of action arising from the ordinary and inherent risks of participation, including claims involving bodily injury, serious injury, permanent disability, property damage, or death.
Participants understand and agree that LA Explained cannot guarantee their safety and is not an insurer of their personal safety while participating in a tour, event, or experience.
Ticket Sales, Cancellations & Changes
All ticket sales for LA Explained walking tours, events, and experiences are final and non-refundable, except where otherwise required by law or expressly stated by LA Explained.
Tickets may be transferred to another guest. Upon request and subject to availability, LA Explained may also permit the value of an unused ticket to be applied as credit toward a future LA Explained tour or experience.
Tour routes, stops, duration, timing, access, meeting logistics, and other elements of an experience may be modified when necessary because of weather, street conditions, closures, private-property access, public events, safety considerations, or other circumstances outside LA Explained’s reasonable control.
By purchasing a ticket and/or participating in an LA Explained experience, guests agree to these terms together with LA Explained’s applicable Terms of Service, Return and Refund Policy, and other posted policies.
